Vietnam initiates anti-dumping investigation on hot-rolled coils from China

On July 26, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam issued Announcement No. 1985/QD-BCT, stating that it has initiated an anti-dumping investigation on hot-rolled coils originating from China and India. This action was taken in response to a request from Vietnamese manufacturers.

The investigation covers the period from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024, focusing on dumping practices, while the damage investigation period spans from July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2024. The final ruling is expected within 12 months from the date of the initiation announcement, with a maximum extension of up to 18 months.
