On November 29, Penguin FPSO, the largest and most intelligent cylindrical FPSO in China, was completed and delivered in Qingdao West Coast New Area. Penguin FPSO has 400000 barrels of oil storage, 12.75 million barrels of crude oil per year and 1.24 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year. How does such a huge FPSO move its position? After receiving the operation task of “Penguin FPSO Berthing Project” of Offshore Oil Engineering (Qingdao) Co., Ltd., Shandong Port Qingdao Port Ship Barge Company has held on-site meetings for many times, and twice organized business personnel to guide the captain and tugboat captain to visit the site. After discussion and repeated deduction, the final mooring plan and shifting operation plan were determined – the shifting operation of Penguin FPSO was completed with the help of five carrier ships after 7 hours of work.

Penguin FPSO is the largest cylindrical FPSO that Haihao has participated in the supply of at present. During the supply process, the flanges, steel pipes, pipe fittings, elbows, tees and other products produced by Haihao have undergone more strict quality inspection, such as HIC&SSC testing, macro testing, grain size testing, hardness testing, non-metallic inclusion testing, zero degree impact testing, etc. Haihao products have shown outstanding achievements in this project.
