The second type test- Low temperature impact test
Charpy impact test is used to measure the notch resistance sensitivity (toughness) of metal materials. The metal sample with a certain shape and size is prepared, so that it has a U-shaped notch or a V-shaped notch, in the charpy impact test machine in a simply supported beam state, with the pendulum lifted by the testing machine as an impact, so that the sample is broken along the notch, with the pendulum rising height difference when broken to calculate the absorption energy of the sample, namely Aku and Akv. Impact test can be done at different temperatures. For example, the A420 WPL6 and A333 GR6 regularly supplied by HEBEI HAIHAO GROUP should be subjected to low temperature impact test at -45℃ according to the standard requirements. Large absorption work (joule) indicates good toughness of the material.
This is the scene photo of Charpy impact test in the HEBEI HAIHAO GROUP laboratory. During the rise and fall of the pendulum, we can intuitively see the absorption work value. The test results of these several tests are all very good, and the conclusion is of course qualified.
After the Charpy Impact test is over, we look forward to the next trial.
