Enauta has announced that the anchoring of the Atlanta FPSO marks the beginning of Phase One installation works in the Atlanta oil field. This phase includes the installation of flexible riser anchors and torpedo anchors for the new platform. According to the company, these activities are in line with the initial project schedule.

Just a few days ago, the Brazilian company successfully completed drilling and completion operations for the last well in the first phase of the Atlanta oil field drilling plan. Enauta claims that Phase One development of the oil field, which has the potential to achieve daily production of 50,000 barrels of oil, represents “a significant milestone.” The project is set to commence operations in mid-2024.

Last year, the company acquired the FPSO OSX-2 for the full development system (FDS) of the Atlanta oil field. Renamed FPSO Atlanta, it will replace the FPSO Petrojarl I and will operate under ABS classification. The FDS aims to achieve first oil production by mid-2024, initially connecting six wells to the Atlanta FPSO, with plans to expand to ten wells by 2029.
