Flanges and forgings must be manufactured, inspected, tested and certified in accordance with the detailed design standards ISO 7005-1:2011 and ASME B16 under the technical supervision of BV. The raw material steel must be deoxidized and produced according to the fine grain steel manufacturing technology. The plates used for forging must be free from defects. Flanges shall not be obtained by machining bars. Steel and metal rolling plants supplying materials must establish a documented quality management system. The manufacturer must submit the proposed final chemical composition and product limits, including barrel analysis, at the bidding stage for the customer’s review and approval.
