Laying method of offshore pipeline
Offshore pipeline refers to the tubular equipment laid below the water surface, all or part of which are suspended on the seabed or placed on the seabed or buried in the seabed soil. In recent years, Haihao has received many orders involving submarine pipelines, so Haihao has also accumulated a lot of project cooperation experience. Today, Haihao shares with you several ways of laying offshore pipelines.
1.Float towing pipe laying: The method of floating towing pipe laying is to connect the pipe to a certain length of pipe section at the shore, and block the plates at both ends of the pipe section. The floating towing is carried out to the pipe laying position, fill the water into the pipe, sink to the bottom of the water or the trench, remove the blocking plates, and then connect the pipe sections underwater.
2.Underwater towed pipe laying: when the long pipe section is difficult to float, it can be towed underwater. During towing, it is less affected by wind, waves, tides, etc., and the operation is safe. It is not necessary to hold the ship, but the towing power is large. This method is applicable to long-distance deepwater pipe laying.
3.Pipe laying by pipe-laying vessel: the pipes are transported to the pipe-laying vessel by pipe-transporting After the pipe section is connected on the pipe-laying vessel, they are lowered into the water along the slideway, pipe bracket and other devices on the pipe-laying vessel. This method is applicable to the laying of long distance pipe sections far away from the shore.
4.Pipe laying in scouring and sinking soil layer: the pipe is laid at the bottom of the water by scouring and sinking method, and then the high-pressure water is injected into the soil layer at the bottom of the pipe by using a dredger to liquefy the soil at the bottom of the pipe and lose the bearing capacity, and the pipe is buried under the water.
Regardless of the pipe laying method, the pipeline products need to have higher strength and corrosion resistance. Haihao Group’s products, such as steel pipes, flanges, pipe fittings, elbows, tees, etc., are certified by the world’s five major classification societies and are suitable for high pressure, high corrosion and low temperature operating environments.
