Haihao Group’s contribution to successful trial voyage of China’s LNG bunkering ship

Haihao Group is proud to announce its integral role in providing essential components for a remarkable project. On the early morning of August 7, under the supervision of the Jiangsu Maritime Bureau, China’s independently designed and constructed 8,200 cubic meter LNG bunkering ship embarked on a trial voyage in the Huaniaoshan sea area of Zhejiang province. This milestone voyage marks a significant step towards the ship’s scheduled delivery in late September this year.

The groundbreaking 8,200 cubic meter LNG bunkering ship, a collaborative endeavor led by Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd., is the first of two customized vessels of its kind. With an impressive length of 113 meters, a beam of 20 meters, and a depth of 13.5 meters, the ship boasts cutting-edge features that propel it to the forefront of innovation.

The vessel is equipped with advanced electric propulsion systems, backed by dual-fuel generator sets and highly efficient azimuth thrusters. This technology not only ensures optimal maneuverability but also facilitates seamless LNG bunkering operations. The ship’s multifunctional design allows it to serve dual purposes – as a transport vessel and an LNG fuel bunkering platform, showcasing its versatility in serving the evolving energy landscape.

Notably, during the installation of the ship’s LNG tanks, a pioneering approach was adopted.
