June 16, 2024 – Haihao Group extends its heartfelt congratulations to China National Petroleum Corporation Offshore Engineering Company (CPOE) for securing an international contract worth over $100 million at its Qingdao marine engineering base. The contract, awarded by the American McDermott Group and Qingdao Wuchuan McDermott Marine Engineering Co., Ltd., involves the construction of the Qatar Ruya jacket, marking the largest jacket construction project in China’s petroleum development history.

The jacket, a crucial steel structure supporting offshore oil platforms, serves as the fixed foundation for transmitting loads. The Qatar Ruya jacket project encompasses over 60,000 tons of steel processing, with the heaviest single unit weighing nearly 10,000 tons. Executed to the highest global standards, the project demands exceptional quality, precise control, and rigorous testing, comparable to creating a giant steel “art piece.” Spanning four years, the project’s scope includes detailed processing design, auxiliary material procurement, construction, and final outfitting.

Starting in July 2023, CPOE leveraged its strong reputation and technical prowess, refined through previous successful collaborations with the project contractors. Through multiple rounds of negotiations and continuous optimization of construction plans, CPOE outperformed leading domestic competitors to secure this prestigious international contract.
