On January 26, 2022, COOEC successfully completed the first topside module of the 400,000-ton floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) P79 project of Petrobras and officially delivered it and set sail, once again providing a new opportunity for COOEC. Earn new glory.
The P79 project is the eighth FPSO of Petrobras in the Buzios oil field. It has a total length of 345.3 meters, a molded width of 60 meters, a molded depth of 34.3 meters, and a weight of about 130,000 tons. It is one of the largest FPSOs currently under construction in the world. one. After the FPSO is put into operation, the production capacity will be 180,000 barrels of oil and 7.2 million cubic meters of natural gas per day, the oil storage capacity will be 2 million barrels of crude oil, and the operating water depth will exceed 2,000 meters. It will be connected to 8 production wells and 6 water injection wells.
COOEC completed FPSO P97 project
The project undertaken by COOEC includes the construction of 13 modules of about 30,000 tons of topside modules, as well as shipment, partial detailed design, processing design, material procurement and other work. As the core compressor module package of the entire ship, the project involves 153 large-scale compressor modules. For mechanical equipment installation work, more than 50% of equipment requires side plugs.
Faced with severe challenges such as high construction technology requirements, difficult safety and quality management, and a large number of side-mounted equipment, the project team implemented a monthly rolling plan, a special module plan, and a full-process application engineering project construction management system to implement the integration of process modules and pipe gallery modules. construction, greatly improving the level of project integration, completing the side-loading operation of large equipment exceeding 200 tons, reaching the leading level of side-loading equipment in the industry.
The construction of the topside module of the P79 project is the second large-scale deepwater FPSO project in Brazil in South America that COOEC participated in after delivering two 350,000-ton FPSO P67/P70 projects for Petrobras.
