China has successfully developed 690 MPa low temperature steel for liquid cargo tank of carbon dioxide carrier
On March 3, Angang Steel Group held the global launch ceremony of 690 MPa low temperature steel for liquid cargo tanks of carbon dioxide transport ships and the shipbuilding steel customer symposium in Dalian, Liaoning Province.
It is reported that the technical requirements of P690QL2 ultra-high strength and low temperature steel developed this time are extremely strict, which are mainly reflected in three aspects: first, the strength level reaches the highest level of 690MPa in the global shipbuilding and marine steel standards; Second, the low temperature toughness reaches the highest quality grade of the global shipbuilding and marine engineering steel standard – 60 ℃; Third, the anti-cracking performance (CTOD performance) reached – 35 ℃, far lower than the existing international standard of – 10 ℃. In general, P690QL2 ultra-high strength and low temperature steel meets the safe and stable operation of cargo tanks under high pressure, low temperature and inertia loads.
As an enterprise specialized in the R&D, production and sales of pipeline engineering supporting products, Haihao Group always pays attention to the technical update of the raw material market. Haihao Group has always maintained a good cooperative relationship with Angang, and many raw materials are purchased from Angang. With the certification of the world’s five major classification societies, Haihao’s products are widely used in marine engineering, FPSO, LNG and various ships. In the future, Haihao will continue to introduce new materials, improve product performance and actively participate in more relevant fields.
