Some basic requirements of nuclear power plant pipeline technology

During the construction of a nuclear power plant,there are some basic requirements that need to be followed.We have gained a better understanding of these requirements through participating in Hainan Changjiang nuclear power phase II project.Let’s take a look at some of them.

Pipeline products

First of all,as we mentioned before,cast iron valves cannot be used on the pipelines of nuclear power plants.In addition,there are some requirements for the bending radius of elbows,expansion joints and other components,which shall not be less than 3.5 times of the nominal outer diameter of the pipe.For the use of welded elbow,reducer and tee,the pressure is required to be less than 39kg/cm.As it is a high-temperature operation environment,compensation calculation is required for each pipe section of the fixed support,and compensators can be used.The compensators should be made of pipes of the same material and purpose,and the pressure is less than 16kg/cm.In Hainan Changjiang nuclear power II project,Hai Hao Group not only provided the main pipeline products,but also manufactured compensators according to the requirements,which are also put into use smoothly.
