ASTM A815 S32750 Fittings Supplied to Singapore Customer

Product Details of the Singapore Order

Why UNS S32750 Was Selected

UNS S32750, commonly known as Super Duplex 2507, combines the characteristics of austenitic and ferritic stainless steels. A 2″ × 1″ eccentric reducer changes the pipe diameter while keeping one side of the fitting flat. Depending on the piping arrangement, this configuration can help control liquid accumulation and support proper drainage or equipment connection.

The 2″ × 1″ concentric reducer reduces the diameter symmetrically around the pipe centerline. It is commonly selected where a centered transition between two pipe sizes is preferred.

Both reducer types are manufactured according to ASME B16.9 dimensional requirements. The selection between eccentric and concentric designs should ultimately be based on the piping layout, flow direction, equipment connection and project specification.

Long Radius Elbows for Smooth Direction Changes

The order also includes 45° and 90° long radius elbows.

A 45° long radius elbow provides a gradual change in pipeline direction, while a 90° long radius elbow is used when the line needs to make a right-angle turn. Compared with tighter-radius configurations, the long radius design provides a smoother flow path and can be advantageous in process piping where pressure loss and flow disturbance need to be considered.

The ASTM A815 S32750 fittings supplied for this project use SCH 80S wall thickness, providing a robust configuration for the specified piping application.

Manufacturing and Quality Control

Producing ASME B16.9 S32750 fittings requires more than simply forming the required geometry. Super duplex stainless steel has specific requirements regarding heat treatment, forming and material control.
